Lauren Assael

I was born and raised in the Bay Area. I attended the University of Oregon and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and a minor in Sociology. The journalism program at the UO shaped and furthered my passion for photojournalism. Storytelling through the lens of the camera is such a powerful tool. I am always searching for stories to be told.

Beyond the technical aspects of photography, I am constantly honing my craft, exploring new techniques, and embracing the ever-evolving world of visual storytelling. I am committed to continuous growth and learning, seeking inspiration from various art forms, cultures, and perspectives. It is this constant longing for knowledge and creativity that fuels my passion and drives me to push the boundaries of my art. I have grown up near large cities, rural landscapes, and coastal towns. My areas of interest are unlimited. I am fascinated by street culture, fashion, nature and most of all, people. Everyone has a story to tell, just depends on how you want to tell it.
